A AARP survey found that more than 90% of all Americans over the age of 65 state they’d like to stay in their own homes as they age. A seniors ability to “age in place” allows them to remain in their own home or community. In order to remain at home, many seniors may need assistance getting around their home.
The purpose of Genuine and Personal Homecare is to provide compassionate care for LGBT seniors who want to age in place. According to estimates, there are three million LGBT seniors in the United States, and that number is expected to grow to four million in the next 10 years, of that number over 25,000 LGBT seniors call San Francisco home. With that number expected to reach 50, 000 by 2030. We are proud to be the first non-medical in-home care agency that caters to the unique needs and concerns of the LGBT community.
